You would need an HDMI splitter, ATSC modulator/encoder (such as the MUL-HDENC-C-100), attenuator pads, and some coax to go to the OTA input port on your 722. Doable, but expensive and totally not worth it. USB won't be involved. Is it possible to connect a Hdmi (computer) to USB slot to Dish DVR and record streaming content? Still an active dish account. Realize dish encrypts content, but if played back on DVR does it work?

In the old days of Computer Graphics, the one way was to create a shadow box around the CRT screen and use a film camera to record the contents of the screen. Today, you would use your Smartphone camera. If anyone knows of an obvious way to record from a Smart TV etc, please post. Thanks
