NASA TV Moved to 105W....87W feed to leave 12/18

Could not get a thing. Then noticed NBC there is H. So went to the 920 and adjusted the V polarity just a little and now S-85 Q-71. I do like that adjustable polarity.

Do you get "scrambled" on the "HQ4-LOOP" channel on that 105 C sat for NASA?

Bummer. Several have had luck with a 5.9 footer(6ft). Maybe time to ask Santa for an 8 footer. Then maybe Metro New Orleans would not allow something that big?

Ted I'm seeing HQ4-loop as scrambled same as it is for 87C.
I've read somewhere that is a private feed to NASA families.

yes HQ4 has always been scrambled as long as they have been digital

I wonder why these Ch's have showed up on 105. Are they transitioning off 87?
If they stay this will help some people I know that can't see 87 because of trees.

I dont think they would transition off AMC3 (SES2)....found the original thread and they moved form 72 & 137 over to 87 in January 2010

Its not the dish size, all other channels in the mux tune with high quality readings. I wonder what exactly is on HQ4... A spare channel in case there is a need? Data? Has anyone analyzed it with TSReader?

Here is some info on it. They refer to HQ4 as "Space Operations Mission Directorate"

As I posted earlier, I had read they send a special feed to NASA families during missions.

The signal on AMC 18 was very weak when it first appeared, but it looks like they have increased the power now. Since SES 2 is a new satellite, they may be planning a switch to AMC 18 to save money. Perhaps Comcast is leasing one of their unused transponders to NASA. However, I don't see anything on the NASA TV website about a potential satellite switch.

Nothing here on 105w other than the regular NBC & other HD programming which are coming in full Q on the 10' dish. Not even a peep on 3760MHz. C-band is usually broad aperture (big footprint), really odd...

105 has always been an issue on the 6 footer. Can get 103 fine..107 booms but 105 seems to be null

Receiving and viewing in low quality the NASA channels at 105W, 3760MHz with the exception of the HQ4 and HQ5 using my 6ft special dish in Slidell, but nothing else. Still waiting for my future Christmas present (new receiver) to come out.

Thanks for the great Tip Pixl. Got all 5 NASA Channels Scanned in HQ1 - 4, & HQ 105 HD on the 12 Footer Mesh Dish, S= 69 and Q = 87, great program on there today on the USA Mars Curiosity Mars Lander Probe just launched last week. Scanned it in on AZBox Premium Plus 3760 V / 28068 / FEC 5/6.
