I currently live with my parents and I have a HD-DVR in my room. Will I be allowed to take my HD-DVR to my new townhouse and just have DTV come and install the satellite? Thanks in advance!

If the DirecTV account is in your name, I see no reason why not.

Just use the Mover's Program.

You'll probably need to get your own account with new equipment.

You will need to get a new account and a new receiver, D* wont transfer ownership of leased receivers, only the entire account and its entire inventory
