I'm the one who moves back and forth every 6 months, for the past 14 years. But I paid for a truck roll to install the second dish at our summer home because my account was less than a year old., duplicating the installation so that I can just unplug the receivers and plug them in again at the other location. Since you are making a one time move, what you need to do is what I did 14 years ago, and what I do every six months (after learning what not to do). Call DirecTV, and at the voice response, or if you get to a CSR, say " I have moved", or do whatever you need to say to get to the movers department. There you find technically adept people whose job it is to retain customers who are moving. Just pack up all the receivers, clients, power supplies and remotes. They will send out a tech to install the dish, LNB, cables, etc. to make them all work again. You may have to pay for a truck roll. They even may require that if you did your own dish install. They do not want to lose you as a customer, just because you have moved. The discussion with the Movers Department is a good place to discuss a loyalty discount if you are a long time customer.
If on your first attempt, you don't get to the Movers Department, hang up and try again.
