I surfed through part's of King Kong last night and it is right up there with the best...King Kong would be one of them. Miami Vice another.
Also, Man on Fire and the last Die Hard would be in the reference quality category.

Do you need 1080p to REALLY appreciate how good a particular movie's picture is, or can you at least see "what all the hype is about" with 1080i or 720p?
