Is it possible to record a program on TV1 while at the same time watching a different program on TV1?

You can do it in dual user mode as well if you have ota in the system. You can watch ota live while recording sat channel and vice versa.

You do not have to be in single mode. Enable Record Plus and set default to TV2.

But then you are recording to TV2 not TV1.
