Upgrade question

would replacing a VIP722k with a Hopper with sling be as simple as simply swapping the receivers or are wiring changes needed?

You will also need a joey if you are used to both outputs from the 722. Also need a node for the joey.

No Joey needed at this time, just looking at options as the hard drive on the 722 is starting to die on me.

If you're going to upgrade, get a hopper 3. The Hopper with sling isn't worth it unless you like waiting for things to load.

ABSOLUTELY go with the H3. Get the latest technology, except for that giant step backward of eliminating the red recording in progress LED.

And this is coming from a guy with two HWSes.

You will come to love having 16 satellite tuners.
