if you tune to chan 480 and 481, those are the test channels for the 103 bird, it'll tell you if you have a bband and if it's working fine.

Correct. You can not diplex an ota signal with the new satellite. You need to run a separate line for the ota antenna.

Yep. My setup works fine!
SAT -> SWITCH -> BBC -> DIPLEXER(SAT IN) ---> DIPLEXER(SAT OUT) -> RECEIVER(SAT)
OTA ------------------> DIPLEXER(OTA IN) ---> DIPLEXER(OTA OUT) -> RECEIVER(ANT)
