Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

Should be 2026. Shooting wraps in August. The time it takes for EFX may push it later.
I'd like to see it drop in '26, but I ain't gonna hold my breath.

I miss the good ol' days when a season had 20 (or more) eps and there was a new season every fall instead every 2-3 years...

Shooting on season 3 wrapped more than a year ago. That puts the post-production at 13 months, give or take. If they finish shooting in August 2025, that puts the completion date somewhere around September 2026.

Introducing a streaming series in the Fall doesn't make much sense to me, and that's why I expect that season 4 won't drop until June 2027 or later (after the Fall TV season).

I hope I'm wrong.

Yep, I hope you're wrong too, but you're probably right...

Ummm….why?

There is barely any new scripted content on the Broadcast Networks, here is the upcoming season, the following season will be worst-

ABC-only 5 hours in Prime Time are new & returning scripted Shows, out of 22 PrimeTime hours in the week.

Fox-only 4 Hours are scripted shows, 2 hours of that are cartoons on Sunday, out of 14 hours.

NBC-7 Hours are scripted shows, out of 22 hours.

CBS-13 hours, out of 22 hours.

Again, there ARE Shows that people watch regularly and wait to come back to the next Season ....

Just because it's Not brand new to you, doesn't mean they don't have time allotted, you keep posting time for New shows, who cares, most of the New stuff doesn't stick around any ways.
Then you get the ones that do some good shows and they take it off once everyone likes it.

They are not very Creative anymore, at least with things that will last.

No, I wrote new and returning shows, those hours are for both.

The Fall Schedules has already been released, posted it in another thread, for ABC for example, the rest of the week is Walt Disney reruns on Sunday, MNF on Monday ( which is a simulcast with ESPN), then fake reality and game shows.

I agree that most of it sucks ... very little out there .

Like mentioned before, Streaming Has all this Extra stuff, which a large portion is no different, its just stuff, will any of it STICK ?

Netflix is notorious for having a Good show and then Pulling it for No Apparent reason ... leaving fans wondering WTH.

Nothing worse than investing time for a season or 2 or more and then find they just up and pulled it.

Wow ....

Now pull up All the Shows that people loved that they have pulled off when the show was still doing well.

Fwiw, NUMBERS aren't everything.
Numbers are everything, how the industry makes money.

People loved the TV show Firefly, yet the ratings were terrible, I loved watching it, my wife did also, she hated sci-fi, but Fox was correct in canceling it, based on the numbers.

We even received a movie out of it, which proved the audience was very low, since it only did $40 Million at the box office.

Netflix knows to the minute what the ratings are, not a estimated number like TV ratings, they are correct in what they do.

I am seeing why I am watching less network TV now. I hate reality TV and Game shows. I lean towards scripted drama and comedy. Good thing we have streaming to fall back on for other things to watch.

I can barely remember the last network TV show I regularly watched. I also don't watch reality and game shows, so I end up finding stuff on P+, D+ or PV that I watch (even older shows). Netflix priced themselves out of my wallet 4 or 5 years ago...

I do watch shows on the Networks, most everything I watch now is on network ... however, if I want to bounce around, its also on Streaming.
