Recording a channel while Viewing another?

if my 522 dvr is recording a certain channel is it possible that I may be viewing a whole different channel?

Yes, have the recording done via TV2 while you watch on TV1 (or vis-versa).

Just set it up to record a several hour block of cartoons at night while they are asleep and press play for them the next day and tuner 2 is free to record what you want while they watch the prerecorded stuff.
