question about satellite at 99 location

What is the difference between 99(c) and 99(s)? When I look at my signal strength one is 77 and the other is 50

99c has alot of national HD channels.
99s has local HD channels for some cities....the low #s may be local channels but not in your area so it wont really matter.

The 'c' stands for CONUS (Continental US) and the "s"means spot beam satellite. The spot beam sat focuses many beams to the US for delivery of locals. These indications are also used with the 103 sat position.

This is all assuming you have a dvr. If you have an hd receiver, the menu will show a and b instead of c and s.

Absolutely. I was thinking of someone who had a regular hd receiver reading it and not knowing what we were talking about.
