Can someone explain to me what I should be seeing as a result of changes on this screen? The screen I am talking about says Local sat Channels (and lists several options) and it also has a column that says DishHD Channels with option to Enable or Disable.

The DishHD Channels part I understand, but the options for Local Sat Channels I'm not real clear on. The options are:
HD Priority
SD Only
HD and SD
Disable

My wife is watching TV right now so I don't really want to go up there and start messin' with settings. I looked in the manual and didn't see any examples of what each setting does.

Someone got time to explain this. Yeah I know if I sat there long enough and pressed buttons I could probably figure it out, but ..... just thought if anyone had a few minutes on their hands and knew the ins and outs of this menu screen... :)

I read the manual before I posted. :) This question does not appear to be answered in the manual. I also went to the tech portal and I can navigate menues there and see this particular screen, but there's no description or (better yet) example of what effect each option has on the way the guide is displayed.

I think it is dealing with the remapping of local channels supplied by dish (not ota even though this is where they are added), look at channel list below 100. HD priority would only give the HD channel when supplied, SD only means no HD at this location. HD and SD means you would have both and Diable means no locals are mapped down. Again, the setting does not mean anything to the OTA locals.

It only applies (I'm 98% sure 'bout this) to Dish-provided HD locals. If you get yours via OTA, disregard it.

Hit the "Help" button on the screen you were on :D
