It is the same editing technique used on Dish Porn Channels, TEN & ETC, that means they show everything but the money shots and backdoor action. Its not as hardcore as Extasy or the Fantasy Channel.

Here's what an FCC fact sheet says on the matter (for cable and sat, not broadcast):

Q: What rules, if any, apply to sexually explicit programming?


A: Section 505 of the 1996 Act states that cable operators, or other multichannel video programming distributors who offer sexually explicit adult video programming or other programming that is indecent on any channel(s) primarily dedicated to sexually-oriented programming, must fully scramble or block both the audio and video portions of the channels so that someone who does not subscribe to the channel does not receive it. Until a multichannel video programming distributor complies with this provision, the distributor cannot provide the programming during hours of the day when a significant number of children are likely to view it.

However, Section 505 was challenged in the courts. On May 22, 2000, the U.S. Supreme Court issued its decision in Playboy Entertainment Group v. U.S. which determined that Section 505 is unconstitutional. Therefore, the Commission's rules implementing Section 505 cannot be enforced.


Looks like they can broadcast anything they want, as long as it is scrambled and subscibed to. Sounds like America to me. So why no money shots? Not that I am a big fan of them, I don't even subscribe to this channel, but I am very curious why this specific exclusion appears to exist and where it originates.

Ahh I remember the old days and trying to watch porn through the squiggly lines on the TV.

I use to be able to tune into a channel like HBO or Playboy and get a good picture in black and white if I fooled with the TV's tuner a bit.

Nooner has a HD studio segment. There is usually a guy and a girl who take phone calls. Callers request the two hosts to perform certain acts. In between studio segments are selected scenes from adult films.

Can't wait to get home! Scott, I knew the old tuner trick as well. I had an old portable all in one radio/cassette/tv that would tune in the premium cable channels just enough to get the action. Damn, I wish the Voom STB had a firewire port so I could record in HD to my JVC DVHS deck, I guess I'll have to live with the "softer" view of S-Video.

There are six states which ban Backdoor sex and the $$ shot. So Playboy edits it so as to be able to have subscribers in all 50 states. Dish will only broadcast Ten Extasy to subs in the states that will allow it. the Six unlucky states are blocked.

They don't show the fully aroused male member. They show everything but. That's why you'll see a lot of plastic peni' on the live shows. So, it's a medium core, or a "chubby" core action. You see more than on Skinamax and you see less than Vivid videos.

BJ's will most likely be seen from the front or behind, not the side in this instance. and that's why there's no $$ shot, but you might see a splash here or there and the after effects.

Let's be clear about this. At least from 9:00 p.m. on, they do show erect penises, and they show close ups of erect penises in mouths and vaginas. You see every inch of the women (including, for those interested, their anuses). You do not see cum shots. I assume they will not show close ups of anal penetration. They have "director's cuts" late night on the weekends. I assume that means cum shots, but they may be blacked out in puritanical states like mine.
