Yes, yes, it's not a lot of antenna. So, it's not for everyone. -
But not everybody will get off their dead ... behind, and build something.
Sometimes it's just easier to walk into a store and walk out with a $10 solution.
The Gray-Hoverman coat hanger and tin-foil sounds fantastic... but I haven't built one yet. - ;)

Last month, one member was going to put some rabbit ears in his attic.
I went looking for an antenna I had, to show him, and ran across this little beauty.
Channel Master CM 3010 Suburban STEALTHtenna (CM3010) - Channel Master - CM3010 - 020572030106 - CM 3010 CM-3010 CM-3010 CM 3010 channel master 3010A CM3010A CM-3010A CM 3010A 3010-A stealth staelth
It was inexpensive, and adequately rated for his service area.
I was surprised at the modest price.
Apparently he liked what he saw and got one.
Last I heard, he was getting great OTA from his attic-mounted antenna.

Never did find a picture of mine.
Old thing from Radio Shack (still new in the box, but long ago discontinued)
Looks like a Frisbee in the middle, and has two-foot wings, one out each side.
It's amplified, too.
Rated for light green (3rd level) service area, so no slouch as an antenna! :)

Indeed, that was me, and the little Stealth antenna is working well in the attic, rated for about 40 miles, my transmitters are about 22 miles away and it's a good solution.
:)
