Moving & want to know how to cancel Dish!

I am moving to a new house by end of April and just want to do everything right. So, do I called Dish couple of weeks before I move to cancel? and they will send me boxes to return my VIP622 & Vip 211 and lnb? What else I need to do?

When you actually move call and cancel your account so the recovery boxes are sent to the correct address.

Do you intend to get another DISH account at the new house? If so, why not just do a Dish Mover?

No, I probably will get Directv.

I would make sure that you follow upwith Dish & make sure everything was received & retunred and the account is fully closed & settled in full.

Could I check my account on line after a week when I sent the receivers back to see if my account is closed?

Make sure to get a UPS tracking number and a receipt for pickup from UPS when you send those receivers back. If not, and DISH doesn't get them, you'll be on the hook for the full cost of the equipment from DISH.

Boxes get sent 7 - 10 days after you have cancelled. Just make sure you have receivers, remotes an lnbf, you will have 30 days to return equip once account is cancelled. Boxes get there 7-10 days to receive @ new address or address of preference .

The pre paid labels come with the tracking numbers.
