does anyone know what has to be done to become certified and become a hughesnet installer?
i have installed a couple of dish, but really not much experience. please let me know what has to be done to get certified and work as an installer.
thanks for the reply
From my observations, prior satellite TV installation experience can be just as much a hindrance as it can a help. I've encountered too many old school installers who've blatantly ignore what they were taught in HughesNet/WildBlue/Starband certification training instructions because "well, that's just not the way it's done". This group doesn't seem to be able to come to terms with what difference a transmitter makes to the configuration.
That's not to say one can't be both a good ROTV installer and a good satellite internet installer. It's just that I've encountered a discouraging number of ROTV guys that can't (or won't) adapt. That said, I don't personally see anything wrong with going into two-way training without prior ROTV experience.
