Home media app

i just want to confirm that the "home media" app does not play Mkv files. If not, any chance it will in the future? My personal video has a mix of formats. I would really like to be able to watch these videos from my hopper vs Roku.

On the Hopper w/Sling, when the new interface was first made available, it only played MKV files. MP4 files did not play ! Later s/w updates did fix this.

On the Hopper 3, I haven't specifically tried the different formats myself. Our daughter has played various movies from my Plex server and I have a mix of MP4 and MKV files but I don't know which she's tried off-hand.
