If you want a SG-6100 buy one very very soon. DMSI said they are sold out and will not be back until July.

Hello guys. Just recently I got to get my hands on the new Motor from DMSI. They are calling it the Monster Motor. Now one thing I did note was that where the shaft mounted it was a little loose. I quickly went and found a Allen wrench and tightened that up. Also there is a little play on the inside, which I am not happy with. I should not be able to grab the dish and with very little effort cause the shaft to move back and forth. Now it was not very much just a little, but I guess I am too much of a perfectionist.

10/5/14 DMSI SG6100 H-H dish mover. I have to seriously disagree with the earlier reviews about this DMSI H-H SG6100 dish mover. Albeit a fairly nice motor its basically winds up being just another DMSI piece of crap! In my opinion it's little more than an $85 door stop. Yes it works, yes it tracks the arc if you don't mind a few degrees of up and down flop on your dish arm, there is flop both vertical and horizontally and I'm really disappointed in this thing. ANYONE WHO HAS BEEN INSTALLING DISHES for more than a day will tell you a fraction of an inch error can have a big effect on dish pointing when trying to pin point a Geostationary satellite 22,236 miles above the earth's equator. This amount of flop in the dish arm is enough to make or break your signal level & signal quality. When you pay good money for something, you expect it to be right. My recommendation is DON'T EVER BUY A DMSI SG6100 H-H SATELLITE MOTOR EVER! This is what you get when you buy from China and it's not my first disappointment with a DMSI product. But it will be my last.

I've noted on other forums that it can be jury rigged with a shim of some kind to compensate for the flop and I'm sure it will work. I'm just a little P.O.ed that I wanted to replace a motor with this thing, this week and I wind up with a BRICK that needs to be modified due to DMSI POOR MANUFACTURING! I regretfully bought this thing off Ebay and now the seller all of a sudden has disappeared the day after I got it. I can't even leave feedback! Good Grief!

I took a micrometer to this thing yesterday and the pictures provide a better view, more than words can.
I'll try to post the photos here.
Bottom line: DON'T BUY A DMSI SG6100 !!!

At least they were kind enough to reply and I removed the name of the gentleman who wrote me back.

Unfortunately tightening or even adding a longer bolt will not really help the flopping issue (as you have already found out). The issue is with the design of the tube. We have contacted the engineers and at this point we don't have an answer.
