Haven't even got the new guide yet.

But my understanding is the goal is to make it look like dish anywhere.

i havent gotton the gudie update yet My H3 just updated to H393 yesterday.

The guys who write the code have to do something or they will be recognized as not necessary, i.e. they are constantly tweaking things that already work. Maybe they break something along the way and "Oh My, we have to fix that". It is common even at Apple and Microsoft, improvements that were unnecessary add complexity and possibly introduce a bug here and there. They can't seem to leave well enough alone. The H3 should be mature enough that it does not need updates every month or so. Just fix what you broke and stop there.

Right.
Before the hopper 3 there would only be 1-3 software updates for the entire year. The last 4 years has seen more updates the all the previous years combined. It's absolutely ridiculous. And ever since the hack, we no longer get told what the updates are even for.

Oh, I quit last July, since Dish forced me to 4 days a week instead of 5 and was mad because I wasnt at $40/wo even though I was number one on tc rate, csats, and every other metric in my area. The hack really destroyed a lot of things.

If they no longer used SD channels this would not be issues, but they still do so I dont get why they felt the need to remove that. Case of changing from no reason other then for change.

In the guide, Looking to the right only gives you the hd/sd info for the 1 channel that is highlighted. Before, on the left column, you could see the hd/sd designation for all 8 channels in the guide.

They have been very good at breaking things. In particular, not sure which release broke it, but you can't move recordings on an external hard drive back to the Hopper. Still waiting for this to be fixed!

I'm on H394 and I just transferred a recording from the external drive to my H3.

I believe 393, 394 must have just been released. I do wonder what else they broke. As a software development professional for over 40 years, rolling out so many releases in rapid fire progression is not a recipe for quality.

that in the info what what is playing, I talking about guide listing where all the channels are where it use to stated hd in channels listing. there was no need to remove that and stupid to remove that, I mean more space is waste to show "stream" on the stream channel listing then there was was the HD/SD in the listing

again unless everything on dish was HD which everything is not, which bring use to next question why is SD channels still thing and I know there HD verison of said channels that are in SD still
