Dish 311 Issues

Hi

Having issues with Dish Network Receiver version 311, the issue is this: When watching television the info box suddenly comes up, and shows the info to the show, we are using a DVD-Recorder to record some shows and then the show is not worth keeping after that pops up. Did call dishnetwork and got the remote address changed for that receiver. Yet it did it again after that last night. Any other ideas or causes of that issue?

Take the batteries out of your remote, leave them out and see if it happens while the remote is disabled. Could be a stuck or otherwise defective button on the remote.

Replaced the batteries, tried Second box 311's remote, even changed the remote address while on the phone with tech support, and it still happened, finally they agreeded to replace the box after trying all that. Hopefully new box doesn't do it when it arrives
