Thanks Titanuim For contest, Thought i would post a few pics of my home set up.

Here is my Direct tv dish. Its low to ground but works awesome.



It works great with three h24-700 and one hr24-100, with a swm switch under home in crawl space.



I know its dusty, i need to get kid to dust his room etc.. lol, That is his Xbox one connect ,on top of it. I have 2 other h24-700 in other bedrooms. The hr24-700 is in family den.

This was my 7.5 Unimesh on one side of home, But just took it down to relocate post to get better reception on a few satellites.




Here is a few Pics of my stash(Dishes) i have. I have 4 actuators in storage also.


Cant wait to get 10 foot Channel Master put together this week.

Here's my entry. OOPS! Looks like I am needing a cover for my LNBF!!!!!

These two are on my 2.4 meter Sadoun stationary dish. Prime focus for 99W, and the offset [with no cover] for 105W. These feed 4X4 switch. Works very nicely. These are upgrade from the photo in my Avatar. Normally they are covered by plastic milk cartons, removed to show details.

The "Farm" such that it is, needing some spring tuneups and re-aligning.
Spares need aiming, but content is not "king" on Ku for me, so they may be changed to a 6-foot C band.
All wired to the fiberglass box bolted to the birdview, inside the box is an 8 place diseqc feeding one line into the radio station apartment on an Amiko mini HD.
By the way if anyone has some old birdview parts, I wouldn't mind driving the far left dish via extra cables with an old fashioned birdview positioner, one of which I have, but I need the mounting pieces for the pot that is there. Can't wait for warmer weather. 72 west is flaky at best, and I need to track down why we have contined bleed on the far west stationary dish through the diseqc. In the meantime, PBS, 99w, 101, 103, all very popular via the motorized birdview. Also need to replace the V-box with a Titanium positioner which has the "oomph" to move the dish. Takes a few "false starts" to move that big white dish.

Dish #1: good ol' GeoSat 90cm. NPRM came from Craigslist with a dented 1000.2 which quickly got chucked. LNB's are for 103w, 97w, and 91w. Got 97 locked down, still lacking the East/Central NBC feeds on 103 (no biggie), and feeds on 95 are just weak enough to make me want a motor or another dish.


Dish #2: fiberglass 1m dish I saved from the roof of a Walgreens in CT where I used to work. Pretty sure it was used for Muzak on 103. Original feedhorn, swapped the LNB with another single-polarity one I had. Parked elsewhere for a channel that's currently ITC for some shows my wife likes. Once spring comes or the channel gets re-encrypted, the dish is going to the SatelliteGuys classifieds since there's almost no room on the balcony for our chairs or table (plus OTA antenna). If I could find some good C-band stuff with it I might convince my wife to keep it around...

Mine is in my signature picture. Don't get to play with it much anymore with kids and ongoing renos. Lots at the lake in winter storage, hopefully put up in the spring.

We get a good selection. Since they're listed on Lyngsat now, I'll say that we do get NHK and RT on 103. We watch NHK more than anything else. I'd love to dip my toes into C-band, though I'm sure it will just make me want property and a big dish even more.

In the foreground is a GEOSatPro 90cm with a GEOSATpro SL1PLL LNB. It's connected to a MicroHD receiver (for Ku band). In the background is a KTI 7.5' BUD connected to an X2 Premium Mini piggy-backed onto a 4DTV receiver (for C-band). The LNB is a Cal-Amp that is at least 15 years old, maybe more, on a Chaparral corotor.

Here's a couple pics of the mesh repair I did today on my 10 foot Channel Master.That was the only tear on the dish.It's not as neat as I would like but the old aluminium started tearing out while stitching with less strands...so I had to increase the number of strands and span them across a wider area to get them to hold.Only 1 coat of paint in the pics...I had to bring the panel inside to let the paint dry.Brrrr.All that remains to do on the mesh is to gently massage out some small hail type dings.I'm afraid to remove the other mesh and roll them since the aluminium is so brittle.

Rags on the floor are the little dogs bed...she was not happy to have to move for the pictures.lol

Right now with the weather freezing in the - dubble digests my old Actuator will not move untile it gets to above freezing. So i was off 103w by a folded coffee cream carton. so I jammed it so I can have 103w. It will worm up in a week or so, so now i am stuck with Ion, DW and infowars. But I have 2 Ku band dishes in the setup. The black geosat is on 87w for the PBS mux and the Shaw is on 97w-101w. The Shaw will work but it is better to have a bigger dish for 97west.

Also found true south on the 10 foot, Took me about 3 hours but got 81 percent signal.

Here's the other end of my setup:

WinTV 950Q, WinTV 1250, and WinTV NOVA-S2, feeding a new 2TB drive to be dedicated to DVR. Windows 7 Pro with Windows Media Center for OTA recording and MediaPortal 1 for FTA recording. About 5.5TB of total storage. Never kept track of how much I've spent on it, but I just removed the oldest part today (seven year old hard drive) and just fix as necessary.

I also have an X2 Premium Mini, but it's a so-so Chinese receiver that will be replaced when the budget allows, so no photo.
