Channel locks

Hello. 922 rookie here. How do I lock the channels (like PPV, etc) on a 922? I cannot find anything on the 922 menu.

It's under Menu/Settings/Parental Controls. Go to Custom, then Channels.

I have used this in the past to help filter out the higher numbered channels in search results but it seems the 922 is better at ignoring high numbered channels if there's a map-down.

If Channel Locks are engaged, does the 922 require you to enter the code just to delete a recording like all the previous ViP's? That is the ONLY reason I left my 722/K's unlocked as it also ticked off members of the household to always have to enter the code to erase a recording. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. This stupid procedure is the ONLY reason I don't lock the channels anymore, but I would in a heartbeat if I didn't have to enter the simple code just to erase a recording.

I have channel locks on and I don’t need to enter any code to delete recordings. That is on both 722s & 922s

I stand corrected. You need the code to delete a program only if it is protected. Unprotected programs delete without the pass code.
