Can channels be added?

If I pick a package that does not have a certain channel I want, can I add that channel or do I have to go with the package that has the channel?

Sorry, but you have to add the appropriate package. Everyone wishes they could just have the channels THEY want..............

A La Carte Channels - Watch A La Carte Channels on Satellite TV - DISH Network

The channels listed at the link above are the only A La Carte channels that can be added individually. Otherwise, you'll need the package. So, for example, if you want VH1-Classic, you'll need the package that it is in as it can't be ordered seperately.

I wish DISH offered "theme packs" similar to what Starchoice up in Canada does.

I think the same thing! The one thing that really gets me is the Multi-Sports pack - I wish they included the rest of the sports channels, such as Tennis Channel, VS, Golf Channel, etc - and make it a true sports pack.
