AMC 15 105w

Hey Ice, on my Coolsat, if I set it to free (on any sat, not just AMC 15) will I get all the unencypted channels or will it miss some? I've been paranoid about that and just do a full Blind Scan but I am getting tired of sorting through the "junk" all the time. What's it been like in your experience?

on most satellites I scan "ALL" because some channels show $ but are free. The church channels on AMC4 show $ but are free.

The ones I scan free are
DBS Slots (obvious reasons)
IA6 (lots of scrambled stuff)

and thats really it. Some satellites have a few scrambled things (G11, AMC1) but I know some feeds are free (but they show as not...its deceiving)

Success! Came up as "CH 7000" on my Fortec Mercury II. 11840/V/26000, Video 6434, Audio 6435, PCR 6434, SID 7000.

I screwed up in mine and meant 7000 (121satellite says TV900)

if i am trying to get 105w on my viewsay should i still get green bars like the rest of the sats i find on it???? can i scan if the bars are red??

Possibly.

I have a few satellites in my Coolsat that are in the red because it defaults to a TP that isn't in use. If I blindscan it anyway something always comes up.

Or if I "cursor" through the TP list some will always come up green.

If you think you're pointed in the right direction just scan it anyway. If you're correct, you see the channel names pop up associated with that satellite.
