It should be an update for all 1st gen players - A1/XA1/etc. Altho my XA1 works great as it has from day 1, looking forward to this and continued support from the good folks at Toshiba. :up

The second generation players that use ASICs instead of an embedded linux OS are supposed to boot more rapidly.
