The only reason I don't want the premiums all in HD is because they all replay the shows and movies from the original channel(usually). I know Starz Black and similar channels may have a slightly different lineup, and they can have an HD channel but 3 per would be plenty... And I think that's about what they have. Save the bandwidth for other channels. As usual though, stepping back and looking at it from that perspective, I may be in the minority. So I guess next year we can expect a 4k hopper to go with the 4k joey launched this year. Speaking of 15 years ago and when they launched hd, can you remember the price was like $7.99 a month and it included like 3 hd channels? I think it was Discovery hd and two others. Cbs hd was also by itself and you could only get it if you could get distant networks. GOD , I've been with DISH way too long. I am reminiscing about the beginning of the hd transition and the prices I used to pay. And yet here we are 15 years later and we still don't have all the hdchannels we can in hd. I would think by now that at least all the premium channels would be in at least in hd. The only other regular channel I have wanted in hd is Tv Land and it is available in hd if DISH would just add it. Oh well , maybe in another 15 years we will have at least all hd channels, because there will be a contraction of the available channels for sat and cable. Just like the media companies are merging and consolidating , I bet we can expect the same in the amount of channels that these companies will devote their resources to. Also the amount of subs will continue to drop ,due to growing cord cutting and cord nevers .
