When I was in the Toledo, OH market I was using a SuperDISH to do 110/119/121, with 121 containing my locals.
When I wanted to upgrade to HD, I eBay'ed an 811, and then I pointed an old single dish at 61.5. I disconnected the 121 feed from the DP34 switch and replaced it with 61.5. I lost my locals, but it didn't matter because I was picking these up OTA.
If you decide to just buy a 211 and want to go the DIY route, it's not that hard to do what I did if you don't mind loosing locals. You could also replace the switch with one that has 4 inputs to get all 4.
like a lots of people saying, 811 is one of the worst receivers. they have way to many bugs. if you don't want to upgrade to 211, then call dish have them send you a new one
