I see all my recordings, BUT !!! when I click on the link to open the recording to view, I get taken to the top of the page. But now, at this time, it is not working... OH BOY !!!

This should tell the browser to fetch the page fresh... and if the HTML was screwed up in cache or the cache was corrupt.. a proper refresh might help. Otherwise, manually log out, clear cache, clear cookies, close all browsers, reopen one and try again .. if still not working ... then you're in one of those troubled times, when as always I say.. use Dish Remote Access instead (the web version not the phone app)
about browser cache yes.. cookies however don't get emptied usually without the user explicitly selecting to do so. And that cache is different from what the logout/login cache that Dish/Sling servers hold for your account. The SHIFT Refresh, is to try to dump what ever the browser has in memory which is not necessarily written to cache files.I empty my Temp Internet Files daily. Is that what you are talking about with CACHE?
