If they are so good then why all the carrying on about Torre making pitching changes?Dodgers bullpen is the best in baseball. That is a fact. That has noting to do with Torre's mismanagement of his starting staff.

Because of his mismanagement of the pitching staff, he never allowed his starters to go deep and now when they have to, they are not capable of doing so. Because of his mismanagement, even though they have the best bullpen, they were overused. This overuse could have contributed to their ineffectiveness later on.If they are so good then why all the carrying on about Torre making pitching changes?
Anyone else question the move by Joe Girardi in yanking right hander David Robertson after 2 quick outs in the bottom of the 11th to put in another right hander, Alfredo Aceves? Aceves went on to give up two quick hits and the eventual winning run. Bad move Mr. Girardi. Bad move.

Tuesday's ALCS Game 4 on Fox/Fox-HD
Yankees lead series, 2-1
Yankees (Sabathia) at Angels (Kazmir)- 7:57pm ET/4:57pm PT
...and it is a GLORIOUS day in Anaheim today! Not a cloud in the sky with a light breeze and a temperature that is "just right".![]()
Watching game 7 of the 2003 ALCS and Big Papi just homered to put the Sox ahead of the Yankees, 5-2........top of the 8th!
The Sox need just six outs from their bullpen to win their first pennant in 17 years! :up
Pedro Martinez is toast, and Grady Little is sure to pull him, right?
RIGHT??????/![]()
Hopefully for the Red Sox, Little doesn't put Aceves in...
If you don't like how that one turns out just wait a year...it gets better for you.

PHILADELPHIA - Those who watched the ninth inning of Game 4 in the National League Championship Series won't soon forget it.
Manny Ramirez wasn't one of those people.
When asked prior to Tuesday's workout how surprised he was to see Jimmy Rollins beat the Dodgers with a walk-off double into the right-center gap the night before, Ramirez said he was in the shower at the time.
"When I came out, they were turning the TVs off and everybody was coming in," Ramirez said.
Philadelphia's 5-4 victory gave the Phillies a 3-1 series lead and put Los Angeles on the brink of elimination.
Ramirez started the game in left field and went 1-for-4 with two runs scored before Juan Pierre replaced him for defensive purposes.
Los Angeles manager Joe Torre wasn't surprised or upset that his star player didn't watch the conclusion of Monday's game.
"Manny has so much confidence," Torre said. "When we get a lead late in the game, and I've taken him out, whether it be for defense or we have a big lead, when we go up to shake hands after the game, he's in his street clothes. "So, it's really nothing different than he's done before. I don't think it's disrespect or anything. He wasn't going anywhere until the game was over, and we can't put him back in the game."
