the D-Backs will NOT make the playoffs.

They have been in a bit of a slump recently, and WHAT is up with Webb??

This is the team that was as invincible in April as the Celtics- since then, they've played like the Knicks.

Major League Baseball held a series of coin flips for teams that began the day within 5½ games of a playoff spot.
The Boston Red Sox would host Tampa Bay in a one-game tiebreaker for the AL East championship. Fenway Park also would be the site if Boston and Minnesota need to play for the AL wild card.
In the NL, Philadelphia would host the New York Mets for the East title, Los Angeles would host Arizona for the West crown and Milwaukee would host the Chicago Cubs in the Central.

Yup, exactly. They were BOTH already in the playoffs.


It's a distinct possibility it could happen again this year with the Rays and Red Sox. Currently, the Rays hold an 8-7 season series lead with three games left in St. Pete starting Monday.

The game is not in Pasadena. It's in L.A. UCLA plays home games in Pasadena.

As for the game, I feel Boeckman has to come out firing like Graham Harrell.

Ohio State, for one night, will have to play Texas Tech-style football: throw the football all over the field.

They have the recievers to play that style, although Robiskie is not exactly Crabtree.

The Rays beat the Yankees in the first game of their doubleheader, and the Blue Jays beat the Red Sox in the first game of their DH. The Yankees elimination number is now down to 5 in the AL East, and 7 in the wildcard race. The Rays magic number to win the AL East is now down to 14.

Meanwhile, the Mets split their DH with the Braves and have reduced their magic number to 13 in the NL East.
