That DirecTV page doesn't make any promises about individual stations, but they haven't missed any market launches since I've been watching it for the past year or so.

unless the locals get off thier high horse you will most likely see the same thing dish has done, 1 nbc station from over 100 miles away and call it local coverage

well just found out this

DirecTV will launch WBOC and FOX21 in high definition this October. They've reached a deal with WMDT as well. Dish Network has NOT
