I think everything on satellite is on streaming. Haven't heard of anything missing recently.Well, I haven't looked thru the channels lately, but when they started the Stream, there was talk that a lot of channels are not available.

I got rid of my big dish and now Dish as everything streams and many more services. With streaming almost anything can be found. Being a fan of old TV shows, I find many on You Tube that I never found on Dish or my big dish.I think everything on satellite is on streaming. Haven't heard of anything missing recently.

Since Charter is buying Cox, assume caps will be gone, along with pricing changes.data cap was the reason I left Cox fiber along with the cost. They were significantly higher than areas with a competitor. So glad to have a choice now.
Depends on where you are, back in my former subdivision in Michigan, when we moved in 2020, the only option was Comcast, today, all 3 main 5G providers are available.I question the use of "5G" and viable in the same sentence.
Just 2 1/2 years ago, the only option was AT&T 25 meg DSL. Then in December 2022, T-Mobile Home Internet became available in my area in a limited amount, and I jumped in to get it. Outside of a couple of issues that lasted a day or two, it has rock solid. Just last summer AT&T's 5G version became available. Verizon's 5G Home Internet is not available yet, and we can't get Comcast. So at least 3 options now, with Verizon coming soon.Competition is a good thing. The 5G home services finally gave the consumer several viable options.
They finally realized they need to compete on price. As for 5G broadband, it is fine for most people if you can get good signal, and not too many people sign up for it nearby.Depends on where you are, back in my former subdivision in Michigan, when we moved in 2020, the only option was Comcast, today, all 3 main 5G providers are available.
My former neighbor has T-Mobile, says it has been rock solid, about 300 down speed.
One thing I noticed about those new data cap free Comcast pricing, it is a lot less than what I was paying, when we left 5 years ago.
Depends on the area, as I explained, back home, in a metro area, available, here in semi rural paradise, non-existent.They finally realized they need to compete on price. As for 5G broadband, it is fine for most people if you can get good signal, and not too many people sign up for it nearby.
It's hard to tell if this is "new." they rolled out the better packages a bit ago, which are quite an improvement, but this article mentions the xfinity gateway and data caps have not existed for a while if you use that. the cap only came into play if you BYOM (bring your own modem)![]()
Comcast is simplifying its Xfinity internet plans and dropping data caps

Comcast is doing away with data caps. This type of move, if followed by some of the other ISP's, just enable streaming to take off even more. In my area, AT&T is the only non-wireless provider and they still have the data caps.
