I'm thinking about signing up for Dish network and getting the 622 DVR and HD package. I'm in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Would that just require one dish? I was a long time DirecTV customer, but dropped it for cable last year. It appears that Dish has the most HD at this time.

Is the best way to order Dish to do it through the Dish Network web page?

Thanks for your help.

Gary

Go to this page, https://customersupport.dishnetwork.com/customernetqual/prepAddress.do, at Dish's website. Input your address and look at the local channels. Using a bogus address in Dallas, it tells me that ALL of your local channels, HD included, are available between (2) satellites. The HD stuff is mirrored on 61.5 and 129'. So, mdonnely mentioned, a D1000 (a single dish) can pick up all of the locations you'd need.

pardon my dumb locals question

Multiple Channels?!?!
