vip622 counter reset???

can you reset the counters on the vip622? i have moved it to a cooler spot and want to see if its helping. but it still shows the high temps from day one. resetting all the other info would be nice also! thanks!

What does the "Factory Defaults" all reset ?? I know it clears the normal user stuff like Favorites but no idea how deep it goes.

There's no way to reset the counters. You will have to wait and see if the temperature begins to drop. The avg. is the last one to change but the high should change in a couple of days.

The high will always be the high temperature though unless it resets itself every so often. I mean, hobojoe's situation is a perfect example of a user making a change and wanting to see the effects of the change. Then again, Dish doesn't intend for end-users to really use this information. I'd guess it's only there so that when a user calls in with problems that the support people walk the user to those screens and have them read the info off. 99% of their customers will NEVER look here.

thank you! i have also tried to use a ir non-touch temp gun to check it. I'm way down now to a average of 85deg. from 100+ before.
