Use of the Chat Room

Is it permissible for a group of Pub Members to use the chat room when there are no special events planed? I don't even know if anyone would want to use it. Just curious.

The chat room is always open. Feel free to use it anytime, like for chatting while watching a sporting event, your favorite TV show or whatever.
