Directv has TCM, but I'm not familiar with a TCM movie package. What is it?

no such thing. TCM is in a package...not stand alone

I remember years ago some cable companies would offer TCM (and also AMC) as "semi premium" movie channels for $.75 to $1.50 a piece... I haven't heard of this recently. I'm pretty sure it's lonnng gone. I'm sure there's some tiny company who still does it though.

There is definitely no such thing as a TCM movie package. Perhaps the OP is trying to ask if TCM is available in DirecTV and DISH packages.

TCM is carried in DirecTV packages from the "Entertainment" package upwards and DISH has it in the America's 220 package and higher. In DISH's case, it is NOT available in the low-priced "America's 120" package that they advertise all over the place for $19.95 a month.
