It looks like TNT, maybe TBS are showing The Wizard of Oz in its original aspect ratio - NOT STRETCHED!!!

No, it's stretched on TBS, pillarboxed on TNT. Guess which one I'm watching? (TNT of course)

What does everyone else think?

I don't even like the movie. (For some reason it gives me the creeps---especially the flying monkeys) But I did switch over briefly to see if TNT was going to screw it up. I was pleased to see the quality and correct aspect ratio. Way to go TNT! (Never thought I'd say that).

Original aspect of the movie is 4:3. I'm going to look at it tonight (family fav), stretched we throw in the DVD into the Toshiba. Might do that anyways.

WoO is like The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. The kids love all the cuteness and the songs. The baddies might be a little scary to young ones but so can Disney. Orcs dont exactly win beauty contests either and how many little kids demanded their parents go see them more than once... and buy the DVDs later. Well, I am sure there are a few such contests out there so I will take that back :p

Also, even tho its really old its a whole lot better than most of the fare that comes out of Hollywood year after year. But then... given the choice between watching Dorothy and Buzz Lightyear, Buzz wins.

Oh btw..... poppies!!!! We all know what poppies make right? The Hays code later would have never let that through.

I'm assuming that you have it recorded because it aired last night(Friday), not tonight. If that's the case (having recorded it) I can tell you it's OAR and in HD.
