With Prime Time Anytime (networks) , yes six programs can be recorded, with OTA you can make that seven at that time. Outside of Primetime anytime is a three tuner, possibly 4 with OTA DVR

You can do that anytime of day, with 7 programs with ota

To make things simple :-

The Hopper can (in most areas where available) record all four of the "Big Four" AKA ABC CBS FOX NBC locals in HD at once using only one of the Hopper's 3 SAT tuners. Hopper also has an optional OTA addon to add another (OTA) tuner.
