reconfigure a 942?

I recently got rid of dish network and now have fios TV. The 942 was like a godsend compared to the DVR I now pay $20 per month to use. Is there anyway I could use my old 942 in conjunction with fios TV?

Does it say Verizon or FIOS anywhere on the 942? That is your answer it works only on DISH.

You may be able to record ota, but not any analog, cable or FOIS.
