There are nine channels on AMC3 (Create TV, PBS) that have AC3 audio and I am not able to hear it. Is anyone else able to hear the AC3 audio feed or might it be my receiver (Pansat 3500) is unable to decode AC3?
Any ideas???
The Pansat, as all DVB receivers, that I know of, will not decode AC3. They will however pass it through to a device that will decode it. Such as an AV Receiver, or a PC with capable software.
In the Equipment reviews section, is the Extigy external sound device from Creative labs. If you can get a used one from ebay, as I did, it's an inexpensive way to decode the AC-3 audio . http://www.satelliteguys.us/showthread.php?t=44825

Thanks to those who responded.
I finally found some AC-3 processors that are used on home AV setups for under 50 bucks so it looks like I'm in business!
