Pricing on Dish HD Only Package?

I called Dish to get the HD only package as the only satellite we can view is 61.5. They quoted me $29.95 for the HD channels plus $9.95 for Voom and I had to buy the receiver for $149. Is there a better deal I should know about?

The $29.95 includes VOOM. But you will have a $6 HD Enabling Fee for having less than the Bronze package. The $9.95 extra for Voom is wrong. I think on this package you have to own your equip - no lease deals.

They were wrong. The 29.99 Dish HD Stand Alone pack was discountinued.

The only HD pack that exists is the old one and it's only available to those living in alaska, hawaii, or puerto rico
