Previously recorded movies

Is it possible to search for movies, etc., already on my Hopper? I do not want to record movies I've already recorded and saved.

Press the DVR button on your remote. That's where all your recordings will be found.

If you do a search on the Hopper, it will show you when it plays again so you can record it and it will show you if you have recorded it before and on what date and you can play it from there. It will even show you on the external hard drive if you had sent the show or movie there earlier and forgot it.

I do not want to record movies I've already recorded and saved.

You actually have to FORCE it to record a dupe movie/show; when you press REC on a show in the guide, if that same show is already on the HDD, it will NOT show a red "RECORD" dot, but another type of grey dot with a pop-up that says "show already recorded".
If for some reason you still want to re-record it, you can still do that though.

I can confirm what Dishrich says. You can force it to rerecord. If you already deleted the previous recording the Guide shows the red dot, not the gray dot.
