OTA with a H10 and no dish?

Hello
I'm moving where I can no longer use Directv and was hoping that I could use the box for a OTA tuner. It works with the dish disconnected but when I turn it off and back on,I can't access the antenna setup. It's blacked out. I'm I missing something ?

It is intentional they didn't want you to use it as an OTA without a Directv signal.
