I consider myself luck that my HR 20 works fine. No problems at all. From what I've been reading, some people aren't so lucky.

Remember that there are hundreds of thousands of these units out there, the problems always speak louder.

I own 3, and I've had to have one repalced, it happens.

In the two years the HR20 has been out, the software has improved significantly, almost like a totally different product then when they launched it.

Amen to this & hope the same is true for the HR21's.

Yep, you usually only hear the complaints. I have 4 HR20's and have never had an issue with them.

Most folks only post when they have problems, not when all is well. I'm happy with mine and have OTA capabilities as well.

My HR20 has been flawless. My HR21 missed a few recordings with one of the early firmware versions, but has been without problems for several months. Even Tivos occasionally had hiccups (I had a hard drive go bad after one month).
