Guide only downloads 40 hr guide

My buddy has Vip 222 and the longest guide is 40 hrs. We tried a second 222 and the same thing. LMB, lines all replaced. Also a 211, on same acc't, also has short guide. Is this something at Dish's end ?

Both those receivers should have up to a 44 hour guide, it can be shorter depending on the time of day..

Dish DVRs have a 9 day guide. Perhaps you're remembering them.

If you add a hard drive and pay the $40 DVR fee you can extend the 211 to 8 day guide but the 222 is a max of 44 hours.

Thanks for the answers, I was thinking 72 hrs. at least. Thinking back I guess the short guide was one of the reasons, I went to all 508 DVRs.
