The 211 family is 1TB I don't think the 3TB will work

The size limit for VIP DVR's is 2TB. IIRC, it would still format the EHD, but would say that it is too large after the format is completed. The 211 family is 1TB I don't think the 3TB will work

To the OP: don't expect any better performance with a USB 3.0 HDD connection other than USB 2.0 speeds as all current ViP's are USB 2.0.
