Difference in HD mirror channels?

Is there any difference between the HD channels in the # 100-300 range over their # XXXX counterparts?

You should just take the time to make a customized favorites list. It took me 30 minutes to get it to my liking, but I wouldn't be without it for anything.

Yes. Hit Menu -> 5 (Locks).

You can lock the system, hide locked channels and edit which channels are locked. They don't show up in searches, guides, etc. If you have a recording of a locked channel, you have to enter in the code to see what it is (or unlock the system temporarily to see). I locked out all the channels I don't want to see (most of the 9xxx ones, PPV, shopping, ect). You may want to keep an eye on it though, so you don't keep a channel locked that gets added later.

In short, it's an easy way to remove all the extra channels you'd never watch, or duplicates. And you can easily undo it.

Why do they do this, it puts the HD channel right next to the sd one to give you a choice as to which you may want to watch.
