So another misleading title from DSL reports? Not really, the DIRECTV name will remain.... it will just be next to the AT&T Deathstar... I mean Globe.

The actual DSLReports article quasi-speculates on this (I don't recall if they directly linked to supporting evidence or not).I wonder what the "launch of our next generation TV platform means." Could that be the receiver that will be able to do both U-Verse and DirecTV?
Oh for God's sake... please don't ruin the DirecTV software platform! It's the best TV software platform I've seen in quite some time.
Today's marketing gurus never use anything from the past. Everything today must appear to be new.I've seen the installer guys running around in their new vans and nowhere on them does it say "Directv". I don't understand why you would take years of successful branding and kill it.
2 steps forward and 3 backwards imo.
You know it.Perfect time to screw it up...
Directv, brought to you by at&t ....why not make it a longer name.....like they do in sports
