02468 not working

Cant get CE download to work after doing a total reset because hr 20 700 was powering on and off by itself due to being plugged into a surge protector.Have tried repeatedly for three weeks. Please advise. Thanks in advance

Use IR remote only and practice, practice, practice ... If you missed - press red button right away and do that again.

Strange at it may sound, I had a bad SWM-5 lnb that would not allow me to do an upgrade. After a few hours of the receiver being plugged in, the guide info would be gone. It would be like I never typed it in.

If you have good signal on certain tpns of 101W ( check which one is spooling FW for your receiver at DirecTV Firmware Watcher ) your box will be upgraded.
