if you have the equipment installed and have the R00 and S00 numbers(read by pressing menu twice on most receivers), you can call in and sign up for a "Direct no discount" promotion. Basically means you did the install all you need is the service. Hope this helps.

You can do a diagnostic test - Go to Menu -> System Setup -> Diagnostics -- Select connection, it'll tell you if it's working or not.

SkyAngel comes off the 61.5 Satellite, if you replace the one you have right now w/ 119 and 110, you won't have Sky Angel anymore, Just add the dish as an additional and get a switch...

If the tech needs to come out again, have him check the grounding block. If you unplug all of your receivers hooked up to the same dish(es), it will in turn reset the lnbf, and release all static elecricity in the lines. elecricity=bad. Most likely a grounding issue. good luck

If this problem is only happening during the day, then go to Menu 6-1-1 then select check switch, post what it says for installed device. Odds are you might have a heat-sensitive lnbf(the 'eyes' on the dish). I would recommend running the test from that page when you ARE getting the signal, that...

It will not go to tv2 when you're in dual mode on the 622, if you put it in single mode(mirror image on both tvs) it will work. No way to make the 322 do it, though.

You can disable the hi-def locals from the mapdowned version(ch 7, 14, ect). If you set them to standard def, it should fix the stuttering issue, only if you want to though...I would recommend getting the ota antenna if you really want them in hd.

First press menu, then go to number 7(Daily Schedule), then go to Timers, then to manual timer, set the frequency, the duration of the recording, then the channel, then set the time.....then you're set booya.

The lnbf has a built in switch, hence why when you unplug the sat in on the back of the receiver and run a check switch, it shows "No Switch Box Detected". If you use a quad, it will combine the sat signals of 61.5 and x together into one signal, and split it to four cables.

I think the idea was by 2010, 75% of programming was going to be mpeg4, reguardless if it is hd or not. Theoretically we could have upgraded the software in the non mpeg4 receivers to allow viewing of mpeg4, but the hardware isn't there. There would be a minute delay between changing channels...

generally, newer receivers don't like to do smart card resets, do a front panel reset instead (hold power for 10 seconds). If that doesn't work, unplug all receivers in your house for 2 minutes, that resets the lnbf on the dish if you don't have a power switch, if you have a powered switch...

here's the deal: I work at dish. in order to get all the hd programming possible, you need the dish 1000. if you had an 811, 942, or 921, you don't have the right sat. You can activate early, but you won't get anything any differently. And you have to pay 59.95. And as per the installer issue...
